Students prepare for the “real world” by managing their financial life in the areas of car buying, renting and home buying, savings and investment options, all types of insurance, budgeting, preparing personal income taxes, consumer spending habits, consumer protection, and personal financial management. This course will teach students how to manage a checking account, how to manage credit wisely, and how to set longterm financial goals.
